Background
Platt Marine Services, Inc. was formed in 1982 by Stuart I. Platt , designed for the investigation and adjustment of maritime claims.
Initially, the business focused primarily on the inland waterways of the United States, specifically the Mississippi, Missouri and Ohio Rivers. We also perform extensive work throughout the South in the Gulf of Mexico, as well as the Red River and the Yazoo River.
Our clientele is varied and our geographical area extends from the Great Lakes Region to New Orleans, Louisiana, and from West Virginia to Texas and California, as well as the Florida, New York, Washington and Oregon areas. It is safe to say that we have represented virtually every domestic underwriter that writes any significant amount of maritime insurance, as well as several of the London underwriters.
We have full service offices in St. Louis and New Orleans, to adequately provide for your marine adjusting/investigative needs.
Our primary focus is on maritime claims throughout the United States, including tug and barge claims, recreational marine claims, sailing vessels, offshore rigs, excursion boat matters and casino vessel claims.
We have handled virtually every type of maritime claim imaginable, including Jones Act, Longshoreman and Harborworkers' cases, and those that fall under the State Workman's Compensation Laws of the various states in which we have provided services.
We know that our services have been widely received throughout the United States and London, and we have gained an international reputation within the maritime industry for our performance.
